What the heck is N4JAH? Well, it's an amateur radio callsign.
Specifically, it's what the FCC calls a "vanity" callsign. My
initials are JAH, thus the N4JAH. This website is just beginning,
but give it time.
I have several aims for this site. One is to help promote my new hobby,
amateur radio. The second is to promote my other hobby, Radio Controlled
model aircraft. The third is to promote my side business interest: website design and support for small business and non-profits. Need a good website? Contact me at the link below, or click on the IPowerWeb icon below, they're a great company to work with! Finally, the website gives me a cheap soapbox to talk
about whatever springs to mind. I hope you enjoy the site and find something
helpful here if you have an interest in either of these two hobbies. Fair warning :
my views on things tend to be unconventional, and, even though you probably
won't agree with them, I guarantee they'll make you think!
For the curious, the image in the upper left corner is a stylized representation
of the mountain in our area which is officially called "The Pinnacle" (cute name,
huh?), but is known by all the locals as "King's Mountain". Actually, the "Battle of Kings Mountain"
occured several miles south of here, in South Carolina. It was a famous
Revolutionary war battle that has been described as "the turning point of the Revolution
in the south". Since I pass by the mountain on the way to and from work each day,
I decided it would be a great logo for the webpage. You can also see the mountain on my QSL card.
Check back fairly often, as updates and changes are planned on a regular basis.
(Of course, for me, a regular basis is when I get around to it!) Have fun,
and 73 to all (ham lingo for best wishes) !
